Ramsgate Holy Trinity is a lovely, one-form entry primary school full of enthusiastic and dedicated children, teachers and support staff. We are looking for the right person to join our support team this term. This will initially be on a two year fixed term contract.

You may have worked in schools all your life - or be fresh from another career- what matters most is that you are able to show real commitment and can demonstrate excellent care in supporting our children.

You will need to be able to follow the direction of the class teacher and have your own understanding of what each child or group of children need to accomplish to take them to the next step of their learning.

We are looking specifically for a TA who has the skills and experience to be able to work with our very youngest children in Reception. Knowledge and experience of working within the Early Years Framework would be highly desirable - but regardless of experience, you need to be able to respond quickly and intuitively to move learning on for our youngest children, whether that be through their play or through more structured teacher-led activities. You will also need the patience to support the children as they learn new concepts and skills, and having eyes in the back of your head to keep an overview of the class also helps!

We would also be interested to hear about any experience that you have in SEND, particularly in the Early Years, and any knowledge of working 1:1 to support child-initiated play, encourage integration and promote independence.

We will potentially be employing two people to join our team; one a part time post, mornings only (18.75), the other, potentially up to 30 hours per week and predominantly supporting an individual child.
