Teaching Assistant

 

Kent Range 5: 27.5 hours per week, Term-time only (Fixed Term)

Full-time equivalent salary £19723 – £20893 (£12,608.32 – £13,356.27 actual salary)

 A Teaching Assistant is required to join our dedicated and enthusiastic staff. You will contribute to the management and support of pupils during learning activities. Establish and maintain relationships with individual pupils and groups. Provide cover supervision for whole classes where and when required. Be able to review and develop your own professional practice and help pupils’ therapeutic and pastoral needs.

A good level of education, with at least Level 2 qualifications in English and Mathematics (GCSE grade 4 or above or equivalent) is essential.

Information about the school

A mixed 11-19 co-educational High School of 1000 pupils serving the historic market town of West Malling and surrounding villages. The school is set in pleasant rural surroundings and has its own lake and extensive grounds. It was completely re-built in September 2007 and therefore has outstanding facilities.

West Malling is close to the county town of Maidstone and has excellent rail links to London and Ashford International (for the Continent).
