Teaching Assistant required from September 2021 for 5 mornings a week.

We are looking for an experienced and capable Teaching Assistant, who can take on the role of supporting the academic needs initially of the children in our mixed age year 5 and 6 class.

The applicant should have English and Maths GCSEs or equivalent, as a minimum, and have good verbal and written skills.  Confidence in supporting the Year 6 children with their English and Maths is necessary.  Enthusiasm and a willingness to learn is essential.

The person will be required to work Monday to Friday 8.45am to 1.15pm term time only in this role, with a 25 minute lunch break.  This role is paid on Kent Range 3.  This post will be for one year initially and would suit someone considering moving into teaching.

We are a small rural primary school, set between the villages of Bossingham and Stelling Minnis, six miles south of Canterbury and 12 miles from Folkestone. Our history dates back to 1784 and we are one of the oldest schools in Kent. We are a Good school (Ofsted) and were judged Outstanding as a Church School (Diocesan Inspection).
