We are a school with high expectations of pupil's achievement and behaviour, ensuring every child achieves their full potential and are looking to appoint a professional, dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our school.

Are you passionate about making a real difference to pupils and their learning outcomes?

In this important role, you will work with specific needs of a child in KS1/2. We are looking for you to have a good understanding of children with social, emotional, mental health needs which will allow you to provide a quality and trusted support network to a select pupil in KS1/2. 

To be successful in this role, you will:

  • Enjoy working with children and be completely motivated by the desire to support them in reaching their full potential
  • Have previous experience of working with primary school aged children
  • Can engage effectively and confidentially with pupils/staff and parents
  • Be able to think creatively when finding solutions and problem solving

This post will be contracted for 30 hours per week.  This is a temporary post and will begin from Sept ‘21.

Kingsnorth CE Primary School is an exciting and vibrant place to learn and develop. We were judged as outstanding in our SIAMS. In our most recent OFSTED as a ‘Good School’.

We are also one of 34 English Hub school’s across the country. We are an active and leading school within Aquila (The Diocese of Canterbury Academies Trust - www.diocant-aquila.org). We work in strong partnership with other schools across Ashford, South Kent and beyond, providing support and learning opportunities for our staff.

We are a flag ship school for the Inclusion Quality Mark and are extending this by working with Nurture UK to further develop our provision as we understand that all behaviour is communication. We have recently been successful in being awarded the Leading Parent Partnership Award and the Wellbeing Award. We are also very proud of our Outdoor Learning/Forest school provision which we are incorporating with our OPaL (Outdoor Learning and Play) scheme.

We are situated next to the church in the heart of Kingsnorth village, south of Ashford. We are a large 2 form entry school with 420 children on roll. We have strong links with the local Church and Community. Our supportive Governing Body and active PFA play key roles in school life.
