Due to a restructure of our leadership team we are looking for a part time (12 hours - days to be agreed) administrtaive assitant to support our newly appointed SENCO with a range of administrative tasks. In the first instance, tasks will largely be secretarial, however this will broaden to include the requirement to carry out screening tests for children in specific areas of SEND (training to be provided).

We are searching for a positive and enthusiastic person to join our friendly and supportive team. We need someone with flexibility, a positive outlook, experience in secretarial work, a willingness to carry out simple SEND tests and the ability to contribute to our school’s community and vision.

The successful applicant will be sensitive to children’s varying needs, and be able to work under the guidance of the Leadership Team.

Applicants should have knowledge and experience of administration - including typing, diairising, able to use Office 365 competently and related software and ideally experience of working in a school with an understanding of SIMS and Target Tracker, as well as working with SEND children.

The successful candidate will be expected to:

  • Help create a range of reports
  • Carry out simple diagnostic tests (training to be given)
  • Communicate with parents
  • Prepare documents for meetings and take notes
  • Carry out a range of administrative tasks

The starting date will be 1st September 2021
