Are you able to make the difference? The Headteachers of St Stephen’s Junior School are looking to appoint committed and enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to join our friendly and popular school.

The role is vital for supporting and equipping our children to be the best that they can be. As part of our onward journey to excellence, we are seeking to expand our team. We are a busy, thriving school focused on providing every child with the learning that they need to prepare them for a bright and brilliant future.

The part time roles will be for mornings (8.45am-12.30pm) and will be mainly classroom based. Successful candidates will be working alongside the Class Teacher in maths, reading and writing lessons, supporting children and enhancing learning resources and experiences for maximum impact and progress. For intervention work, any necessary training and CPD will be provided.

The full-time role is also classroom based for the mornings. Afternoons will either be a continued classroom role or the delivery of wider school-based support sessions and interventions. Hours for this post are 8.45am-3.00pm.

We would welcome applications from experienced TAs and also candidates who may be newer to the role or with less specific experience. If you are considering a career in teaching for the longer term, this role may also be of interest. We have a proven track record of successful training for qualified teachers who began with this role in our school.

 We offer:

  • A friendly atmosphere and the chance to be part of an exceptional team.
  • A great package of CPD and career development.
  • An inclusive and caring ethos for all.
  • The chance to be part of a new and exciting chapter of our school’s future and development.
  • Good coffee!
