Advert

We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed teaching assistant to join our forward-thinking team. The successful candidate is likely to be working in Upper KS2 but the flexibility to work across all stages is preferable. We are a good school and we would like you to contribute towards our exciting journey to excel in all we do. We are looking for someone to be fully committed to the Christian ethos of the school. This is a fixed term position until August 2022. This will be reviewed and there is a possibility of an extension.

You wil work under the guidance of the class teachers and the SENCO but will need to use your own initiative, drawing on your experience to adapt in the moment and meet the needs of the learners you are supporting. Teaching Assistants also care for the children over lunchtimes so being able to lead play as well as keep them safe is another aspect to this role.

Our children achieve well but we also want them to remember their learning experience at our school with a smile and with laughter. We want them to leave being effective learners and be well-prepared for their future. We want to celebrate every child’s achievement whether it is in geography or grammar, music or mathematics.

Selling is a fabulous place for learning because we already have:

  • Dedicated, hard-working staff who are passionate
  • Amazing children who are compassionate, courageous and curious
  • A community that helps each other and develops together
  • Supportive parents that want to help more!
  • A beautiful rural setting with amazing potential for outdoor learning

Visiting the school is possible and encouraged - please contact the school to book an appointment.

This school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people, engages with children and staff in policy and practice developments, and proactively encourages feedback. The successful candidate will require a Criminal Records disclosure via the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS), including checks against the barred list.
