We are looking for an enthusiastic and empathetic TA who is child centred, to support a Yr 2 pupil with Ataxia and associated fine motor, gross motor and speech development. The pupil has an EHCP and is supported within the classroom setting including access to the curriculum. 

Relevant experience of supporting children with special educational needs, in a school setting, is essential. 

The successful applicant will be employed, for 20 hours per week over the five school days.  This is currently arranged as:

09:15 – 14:45 Daily.

09:15 – 12:05 Classroom support.

12:05 – 12:35 TA lunchtime.

12:35 – 13:05 Playground support.

13:05 - 14:45 Classroom support.

They will be paid on Kent Range 3 (£18,425 pro rata).  Appointment will be from 2nd September 2021. 

Sandling Primary is a two form entry school with 420 pupils on roll, and received 'good' in the last OFSTED inspection (Feb 2020).

Sandling is a popular, high achieving, 2 form entry primary school in the north of Maidstone.

The school is well resourced with many facilities including: a library, computing suite and extensive grounds with a wildlife and outdoor learning area. We offer a wide variety of clubs for children to enrich their learning.

We had a one day OFSTED inspection in Feb 2020 with a good outcome which confirmed our high expectations and standards.

With easy access from the M20, and being situated less than 3 miles from Maidstone centre, the school is easily accessible by road.
