We are looking for an enthusiastic, organised and reliable Site Manager, with good DIY skills to care for our school and to join our friendly school team. 

This is a full time, all year round position, working 37 hours per week.  We operate a split shift, so the hours are:

7am to 11am then 2.45pm to 6pm - Monday to Thursday

7am to 11am then 2pm to 6pm - Friday

During the school holidays the hours may be adjusted to 8am to 4pm.

Holidays are 26 days a year rising after 5 years’ service and should be taken during school holidays.

Pay is Kent Range 5 to 6 (£19,723 to £22,918 pa) and is dependent upon experience.

We will be holding interviews on Thursday 1st July 2021.

If you have the relevant skills and wish to become a school caretaker with a view to developing into a site manager we would be happy to discuss this.  Similarly if you wished to work less than a 37 hour week we could explore this option too.

Information about the school

Sandling is a popular, high achieving, 2 form entry primary school in the north of Maidstone.

The school is well resourced with many facilities including: a library, computing suite and extensive grounds with a wildlife and outdoor learning area. We offer a wide variety of clubs for children to enrich their learning.

We had a one day OFSTED inspection in Feb 2020 with a good outcome which confirmed our high expectations and standards.

With easy access from the M20, and being situated less than 3 miles from Maidstone centre, the school is easily accessible by road.
