Bromstone has an exciting opportunity for dedicated and highly motivated Afterschool Club Assistants to join our team. You should be passionate about helping to support children's wellbeing and safety and confident in developing activities and maintaining a stimulating environment

In exchange we can offer you happy, enthusiastic and well-behaved children and a supportive staff team who are passionate about Bromstone and its ethos; Dream Believe Achieve.

The successful candidates will be flexible, adaptable and have strong organisational skills. Knowledge of first aid is desirable although training can be given.  Previous experience in this role is desirable but not essential. Preference will be given to candidates who have successfully worked with children in some capacity and can show their commitment to supporting children to learn.

The posts will be for 11 hours per week, term-time only. Hours of work are Monday-Thursday 3pm-5.30pm and Friday 3pm-4pm.  These are fixed term contracts for one year initially.

Bromstone is a Co-operative Foundation Primary School which believes strongly in the Co-operative ethos. As part of Thanet Endeavour Learning Trust we work in very close partnership with St Mildred’s Infant School with whom we are federated, and with Garlinge and Parkside Primary Schools. We share our Executive Headteacher with Garlinge, St Mildred’s and Parkside Schools.

Bromstone has a well-developed creative curriculum, which provides our children with exciting opportunities for learning, both in the classroom and in the wider environment. We place high value on the Arts and outdoor learning; we have an established Forest School in our grounds. All posts at Bromstone Primary School are exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and the amendments to the Exceptions Order 1975, 2013 and 2020. It is an offence to apply for the role if an applicant is barred from engaging in regulated activity relevant to children.
