We are looking for an enthusiastic and inspirational experienced Teaching Assistant to join our school as a key worker for a pupil with special educational needs. If you like the challenge of supporting a child with their needs as well as being dedicated and passionate about learning and teaching, then this could be the position for you. We are offering a real opportunity to make a positive impact in our school.

The role will include working with individuals and small groups (both within and outside the classroom) to deliver interventions.

You will need to have a high level of English and Mathematical skills and experience of improving outcomes for pupils both academically and emotionally. We are looking for someone who has a vast amount of experience in working with children who have a high level of need(s), this may include experience in a specialist setting. You will need to be adaptable and able to react quickly to any situation to support children in removing any barriers to their learning.

We are looking for people who are determined to secure the absolute best for our pupils and will work hard to ensure children achieve everything they are capable of. You will need to be able to work from Monday to Friday during the school daily hours (8.45am-3:15pm), but the position may require being in school a bit before or slightly after to assist in sharing details with parents and carers. This is a full time post during term time.

We are interested in appointing someone who has experience in being a teaching assistant as a key worker.

Joydens Wood Junior School is located in a semi-rural setting on the outskirts of London. We are a member of the Nexus Education Schools Trust. We are a friendly and caring school with a team of enthusiastic, committed and hardworking staff.

We have approximately 310 pupils on roll in Years 3 to 6, with a 3-form entry in each year group.
