We are looking to appoint an experienced, full time (25 hours) EYFS – KS2 Teaching Assistant. The position is for term time only (38 weeks per year) working 9am-3pm Monday to Friday.

The successful candidate will be hardworking, patient, a team player, have initiative, able to adapt to changing needs, able to teach whole class as well as small groups and go the extra mile for our pupils. They must have a good standard of English and Maths and be able to communicate effectively with pupils, colleagues, parents and professionals from other agencies. Ideally, they will have NVQ Level 2 or 3 or other relevant qualifications. Applicants will need to support the Christian vision and ethos of the school.

Information about the school

Teynham is a semi rural location with good transport links (both bus and train). Currently we have 200 pupils in seven classes. The school has spacious school grounds, including playgrounds, sports field, wellbeing area and environmental areas, including a Forest School. We also have an ICT suite and purpose built meeting room. We have strong links with the Pre-school (situated on site) and local church. We work as a team supporting each other and ensuring that we do the best for our children. The school is undergoing an exciting transformation and a new build, with expansion to two form entry, is planned for September 2025.
