School Secretary required for June 2021

29 Hours per week, term time only

KR4 £18,517 - £19,625 (pro rata to £12,163 - £12,891 for part time) 

We are seeking to appoint a friendly, professional, well educated, highly organised, efficient and reliable person to the key role of School Secretary. Candidates must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills with both adults and children, be able to multi task, have the ability to keep calm under pressure and to meet deadlines. Previous experience of working in a school office and use of SIMS would be an advantage, but not essential; you will however need excellent IT skills and good initiative.

As well as carrying out general office duties and all aspects of pupil administration, the successful candidate will be required to deal with the administration of the school website and attendance.

Information about the school

Sandwich Junior is a two form entry school, who currently have 222 pupils on roll. We are fortunate to have extensive grounds, which include two large playgrounds, a gardening area, outdoor music equipment, an Orchard and a full size Labyrinth to aid mindfulness and reflection. The school has a strong set of Core Values which underpin everything we do. Our location in the centre of Sandwich, Kent means we serve families from the town and the wider area. We received an Outstanding grading in our most recent Ofsted inspection (May 2022). We have a friendly, dedicated staff who work seamlessly together as a team, ensuring every child reaches their own personal excellence through a focus on quality first teaching and pastoral support.
