About the role: Leigh Academy Rainham is seeking a Teaching Assistant - Apprentice to join their vibrant team from September 2021. The successful candidates will undertake a Level 3 Teaching Assistant apprenticeship. Whether you are a school leaver or someone wishing to take the first step in a career as a Teaching Assistant/Learning Support Assistant, this programme will offer you the chance to develop your skills and get ahead in your career.

The successful candidates will be good role models for their pupils, acting with honesty and integrity at all times. You’ll take part in team meetings and contribute to planning and supporting class activities. You’ll promote Fundamental British Values through spiritual, moral, social and cultural development and positive behaviours, and above all else you are crucial in contributing to improved pupil progress and development. The actual salary is £7,983 per annum (FTE £10,000), based on 35 hours per week and Term Time + 1 week inset. This role is offered as an 18-month apprenticeship contract and our successful candidates will work towards a nationally-recognised Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification, delivered by LAT Apprenticeships. Apprenticeship Summary
Working weeks: Monday - Friday during Term Time +1 week inset
Total hours per week (on average): 35 hours per week, 8.30am - 4.00pm (including the 20% training element of the Apprenticeship Programme)

Your employer will endeavour to offer further employment following successful performance and completion of the Level 3 course with future opportunities to extend your training with a higher level apprenticeship programme. You’ll receive Continuing Professional Development and you’ll be part of a highly experienced student support team – you’ll be learning from the very best!
