An exciting opportunity now exists for an apprentice to work as a first line support / helpdesk trainee ICT technician to work closely within a team of other ICT technicians in a busy Multi Academy Trust (MAT).

 

The Role:

To support the ICT and Facilities Manager, Senior Technician and other ICT Technicians with supporting staff and students using the ICT system within the Trust.

 

You will have good communication and telephone skills and be dedicated to providing a professional level of customer service. The ability to communicate clearly and concisely is key for this role as you will be dealing with a variety of end users including upper management.

 

The right candidate will be looking to undertake their Level 2 or/and Level 3 qualification in ICT and will use this role as a stepping stone to becoming a fully trained and skilled ICT technician with the ability to install and maintain computer and telephone systems.

 

Qualifications Required

5 GCSEs at A*-C / 9-4, including English and Maths (or equivalent)

ICT Qualification (desirable not essential)

 

Personal Qualities

  • Methodical
  • Problem solver,
  •  Willing to learn how to handle IT support calls
  • Good organisation skills
  • Good communication skills and some customer relations skills
  • Excellent written and verbal skills
  • Willingness to work towards ICT qualification
