Fosse Bank School is looking for an enthusiastic teacher able to inspire Reception children to enjoy learning.  While the school has specialist teachers for Foreign Languages, P.E., Forest School and Music, the appointed teacher will teach all other subjects.  A particular interest in ICT or science would be an advantage but is not essential.  Able NQTs are encouraged to apply.

We require someone who is:

  • Excited about educating children
  • Able to inspire and be ambitious for every child
  • Keen to understand each child; their pastoral needs, interests and aspirations, and their mental health
  • Creative and flexible
  • Keen to be involved in the school beyond their classroom
  • A good team player, supportive of colleagues 
  • Keen to lead a subject with enthusiasm and efficiency
  • Able to communicate easily with parents as they entrust their children to us in this first full time year of their education, able to be honest and tactful with parents, appreciating their concerns and working with them as required

Fosse Bank is a single-form-entry independent primary school for pupils aged 2 to 11. The school is in a beautiful Grade II listed building surrounded by 28 acres of parkland and woodland with a range of wonderful facilities. We are a Forest School and value the independence and resilience that learning outside brings. Teachers and support staff are all part of a friendly and dedicated team which make the school a productive and enjoyable place to work.
