Sept 2021 – Feb 2022 (Maternity Cover) 

We seek to appoint an excellent, well organised and dedicated teacher to teach Computer Science across KS3-4 on a maternity placement from September 2021 – February 2022.

Our ideal candidate will be: 

  • A creative teacher who can inspire students of high ability at GCSE (the department currently teach the OCR specification)  

  • An aspirational person who has a desire to deliver high quality lessons 

  • Knowledge of and the ability and desire to regularly display contemporary teaching and learning pedagogies 

  • A person willing to commit to the ethos and vision of the school including participating in the co-curricular activities.

  • E-safety 

  • Computer hardware & systems 

  • Binary and logic 

  • Websites (html/css) 

  • Software and Operating Systems 

  • Computational thinking and programming.

Consistently oversubscribed, the school has grown over the past few years and now has over 1000 students.  The School, which is an Academy, is a selective 11-18 boys’ Grammar School with 300 in the Sixth Form and draws from the top 25% ability range in the area.

Wilmington Grammar School for Boys (often referred to as WGSB) is an extremely considerate school with a wonderful learning environment and atmosphere.
