Following the retirement of the current post holder, the school is seeking to appoint an inspirational and motivational leader to be Head of School (Secondary) and Deputise for the Headteacher.

Candidates will have:

  • A proven record as an outstanding classroom practitioner
  • The ability to lead and make a significant contribution to whole school improvement.
  • Can manage all aspects of day to day running of the secondary school.
  • A thorough knowledge and understanding across a wide spectrum of special needs.
  • Excellent leadership, management and organisational skills and will be an effective team player.

The Wyvern School is a large, dynamic, forward-looking school, with the aim of helping to shape best practice for pupils with complex needs. The school caters for 350 pupils with severe, profound and complex needs including autism.
