We are seeking a well-qualified applicant, ideally with experience in upper Key Stage 2 for a HLTA role in our wonderful community school. Applicants will need to be flexible, creative and have experience in delivering high-quality lessons across a variety of national curriculum subjects. They must have high expectations, believe in the potential and well-being of our children and inspire and guide them to become the best they can be. 

The HLTA position will include the following:

  • Providing focussed intervention groups for vulnerable learners
  • PPA cover (whole class teaching) across the primary phase
  • Play and engagement leader to promote and develop positive play across the school
  • Covering staff absence and release time

This is a temporary role covering maternity leave. This position is for 18 hours (3 days) per week, 8.45am to 3.15pm, at Kent Range 6 (£20,997-£22,918 pro rata). 

The postholder is required to work for 38 weeks per year. In addition, they will receive a payment in respect of their pro rata entitlement to Annual Leave appropriate to their grade, Bank Holidays and the KCC concessionary day.
