St. Stephen’s Junior School are looking to appoint a Catering Manager with the responsibility for a large junior school and nursery. 

We require someone with previous experience in school catering, ideally having achieved the Level 2/3 food safety catering certificate.  You will be a highly effective manager with excellent organisational and interpersonal skills and looking to achieve and enhance the high quality catering provision already enjoyed by both children and staff.  Line Management duties will include 2 kitchen staff. 

You will have the vision and expertise to extend and develop Catering across the school and be a key member of the school’s highly motivated and friendly team.

You may have other qualifications including COSHH, Food Hygiene and Health and Safety but these are not essential and can be obtained after starting employment.  You will however need knowledge of the nutritional requirements of children and have a proven track history of producing a high volume of meals to the exceptionally high quality that we expect.

The position is for 32.5 hours (full time = 37 hours per week) and term time only, plus one extra week (39 weeks per year). 8.30am – 2.30pm daily.

Salary is paid on Kent Range 6 (20,585 - £22469) pro rata to 32.5 hours.
