Senior Site Caretaker

Full time contract (37 hours per week, some flexibility required)
Greenacre Academy is an all-boys secondary academy in Medway, with a large joint sixth form in partnership with the neighbouring girls’ school. The academy forms part of the Skills for Life Trust, comprising two secondary and three primary schools, and as such is able to offer many more professional and developmental opportunities for staff across the trust.

We are seeking a Senior Site Caretaker to be part of the team responsible for the general maintenance, cleanliness and security of the Academy and to maintain the premises (both internally and externally) in a clean, safe, sound and secure condition for staff, pupils, parents and community users.
The successful applicant will be highly motivated with a positive and proactive approach to taking care of our academy. They will need a proven range of site maintenance skills including general repairs, cleaning, painting and decorating and DIY. Experience of boilers and heating systems is desirable.
It would be desirable for the successful candidate to have their own transport as some travel may be required between our sites based in Chatham, Rochester and Gravesend.
