Is the safety of children and families on their way to and from school important to you? Do you like being outdoors (in all weathers!) and being a positive and responsible member of your local community? If you can answer YES to all of the above then then The Willesborough Schools would like to hear from you.

We are looking for a reliable, sensible and community minded individual to join our team as a happy go lucky Lollipop Person.

This is part time role working during term time only; however the importance of the role is immeasurable.

Working 30 minutes at the beginning and 30 minutes at the end of the school day (exact times to be confirmed depending) you will have the opportunity to become a true part of the community and ensure the safety of children and families on the main roads surrounding our schools.

We are keen to hear from those members of the community with good traffic awareness, a sense of responsibility and who are committed to carrying out this very important role.

As you will be working a short split shift throughout the day, it is recommended that you live within a short distance of the site.

Information about the federation

Willesborough Infant and Willesborough Junior schools are large schools, who federated in January 2019, forming The Willesborough Schools Federation. The two schools have worked together for many years as link schools. We are proud of our unique identity as federated infant and junior school and the progressive curriculum and provision we have created for our pupils and community.

The federation offers excellent opportunities for staff to work across both schools and enjoy being part of a big school team. As a large organisation, the Willesborough Schools can offer training, coaching and mentoring to teachers, classroom practitioners and support staff, who are new to their profession, as well as a passion and commitment to the growth of leaders and managers at all levels.

Both schools have been inspected recently and have achieved excellent outcomes.
