St Ethelbert’s Catholic Primary School and Nursery are looking to appoint a self-motivated, highly-organised and professional Bursar to take responsibility for the financial management of our school from 23rd April 2021. The ideal candidate will be well-organised, efficient, flexible and able to cope under pressure and deal with constantly changing priorities. This role involves preparing financial returns for the LA and Diocese, completing DBS’ for new colleagues and volunteers, keeping the single central record up to date, strategic financial planning, efficient contract management and keeping our school website up to date.

 

The successful candidate will:

* Provide a full range of financial and people related services to the Governing Body, Senior Management Team and staff.

* Advise and support the Governing Body and Senior Management Team in the control and evaluation of budget decisions.

* Ensure all financial decisions continue to underpin the school's caring ethos.

* Be responsible for the management of information

 

This role is required for 37 hours a week. (8:30am - 16:00pm Monday to Thursday; 8:30am -3:30pm Friday)

 

Pay Scale KR 8 pro rata

 

This is a term time only post.

 

We are looking for an exceptional applicant who has appropriate, relevant, qualifications and experience in a similar role.

 

This permanent position is subject to a 6-month probation period.

St Ethelbert’s Catholic Primary School is a one form entry school set in the heart of the Georgian town of Ramsgate, Kent, just a short walk from the beaches overlooking the English Channel. The school had its last Ofsted Inspection in June 2019 and is rated Good. Our staff and governors are hard-working, caring, supportive and friendly and the children are very well behaved.
