We are looking to appoint an experienced part-time (2.5 day a week) Year 2 Teacher to join our strong and committed team in September 2021. This is a great opportunity for someone to make a real contribution to our children with our bespoke curriculum that fosters a love of learning and a passion for investigation and enquiry. 

We are looking for a Class Teacher who has:

The role is as a class share with the same number of days. We would like the right person to alternate their days, working Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday one week and then Monday and Tuesday the following week.

Information about the school

Bapchild and Tonge CE (Aided) Primary School and Nursery is a one form entry through primary school with 211 pupils currently on roll and a popular Nursery with up to 24 places per session. The School took over the Nursery in January 2021 and has been working hard to invest in new toys, resources and improve the room environment. The school is on the outskirts of Sittingbourne and part of the Rural Swale Collaboration Group (RSCG) of schools. Parents and children describe the school as having a friendly atmosphere and our pupils enjoy coming to school. Our Ofsted inspection (July 2019) said that the school is good and commented that there 'is a strong sense of community which permeates the school, providing care and support for pupils, their families and staff'. SIAMS in February, 2017 graded us as Outstanding overall.
