Qualified Early Years Practitioner

Permanent, part time Position – 2 days per week - Currently Monday and Wednesday

Term time only.  8:55 am – 3.10 pm. Starting 7th June 2021.

We are looking for a Qualified Early Years Practitioner (NVQ2 or higher) with experience of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).

All applicants are required to have a full DBS check and satisfactory references. This position is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974.

The applicant will have an excellent team working ethic and be able to bring suggestions and ideas to our setting. We are looking for a motivated, proactive team member who is determined to deliver outstanding learning outcomes for our children.

Purpose of job

  • Establish warm, respectful trusting supportive relationships with children across all age groups.
  • Gain a solid knowledge of individual children’s needs their family backgrounds and cultures.
  • Provide inclusive play and learning opportunities for all the children attending the setting with an emphasis on the characteristics of effective teaching and learning
  • To work together with all staff in a team and support one another to achieve the best outcomes for the children in the setting.

Information about the school

Poplar Preschool (CIO) is a registered charity providing sessional, term time only education and childcare. We aim to provide a happy, safe and welcoming environment for young children, supporting them to become independent learners to continue their growth into independent young people. Encouraging a love of learning that we hope will stay with them into adulthood.

We have 2 rooms with a daily overall capacity of 44 children and we operate a freeflow system enabling children to have the freedom to explore both rooms and our outside area.
