Turner Schools is looking to recruit a Trust Director of Drama to help us ensure that our knowledge-led curriculum is effectively delivered to our pupils

The Trust is offering an unique opportunity for an ambitious leader to create and develop an exciting trust wide secondary curriculum to inspire all our pupils to engage in Drama. The right candidate will also be able to influence the teaching of Drama in our primary schools to develop our pupils’ confidence and creativity.

As Trust Lead of Drama, your role will require you to be an expert teacher who is also capable of leading and inspiring colleagues as well as pupils, with a passion for Drama education. You will be making an important contribution to the continuing progress of all of our schools.

The ideal candidate will....

  • have a track record of improving standards and developing others through coaching and sharing of good practice
  • have experience of strategic planning that brings about improved pupil outcomes
  • have a proven ability to deliver inspirational and engaging Drama teaching. 
  • have an understanding of current pedagogical research with particular regards to Drama education 
  • have experience in planning and delivering extra curricular opportunities for pupils and staging whole school performances
  • have a keen awareness of future careers in Drama and related profession
