The Gateway Primary Academy is seeking to appoint a highly motivated and caring Teaching Assistant to join the great staff team at this popular one form entry school.

The post will involve working 1:1 with an EYFS pupil delivering personalised curriculum plans and emotional well being programmes.  Expertise in working with the most vulnerable pupils with emotional and behavioural needs is essential as well as a commitment to supporting children in reaching their full potential both academically and socially.

The successful candidate will have:

  • A good standard of education (minimum GCSE grade C or equivalent in English and Maths)
  • Experience of supporting pupils with SEN in EYFS and Key Stage 1
  • Expertise in supporting pupils with behavioural needs such as ASD/ADHD
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • A good understanding of children's emotional needs and development
  • A friendly, caring, understanding approach with a good sense of humour
  • The ability to work autonomously as well as part of a supportive team

Hours of work: 27.5 hours a week, term time only.
