Advert

St. Richard's Catholic Primary School is a Catholic primary academy and part of the Kent Catholic Schools' Partnership (KCSP), a multi-academy trust (MAT) established by the Archdiocese of Southwark for Catholic education across Kent.  KCSP is seeking to appoint an inspirational and dedicated Academy Principal following the formation of an Executive Leadership structure at the school.

Reporting to the Executive Principal, the Academy Principal will be responsible for the day-to-day leadership and management of the academy and will lead a team that strive together for children under the academy's motto of 'Together towards excellence with Christ as our guide'.

The successful applicant will take the lead role in providing inspirational Catholic education based on our shared Gospel values and will be seen by our children, staff, parents, carers and the wider parish as the person directing their learning and as the academy's pastoral leader.  We are therefore seeking to appoint a practising Catholic to this role.

St Richard's is an inclusive academy with dedicated staff, volunteers and Governors who work hard ensuring that every child is supported and challenged to be their very best. In an atmosphere of mutual respect, trust and care, the St Richard's team works together in the spirit of the Gospel to serve the local community, wider parish and the Diocese as a whole.

St Richard's is a one-form primary academy located in Dover, serving the Parishes of Our Lady of Dover and The Good Shepherd, St Paul's Dover.  Its most recent denominational inspection in November 2018 judged it as 'Good' and its most recent Ofsted inspection in September 2017 also judged the academy to be 'Good' in all areas.

St Richard's and KCSP are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and require all staff, volunteers and Governors to share this commitment. Offers of employment are subject to an enhanced disclosure and barring service check and section 128 check.

Please click here to view the full job description and person specification and to download an application form and all of the related documents.
