Halling Primary School is a popular and successful school with an excellent reputation in the area. We have friendly and supportive staff, well-behaved children and first class resources.

This is initially a 2 year fixed term contract.

We are looking for an enthusiastic Apprentice Teaching Assistant to join our friendly and supportive team who is willing to study towards (with support) a NVQ level 3 qualification, whilst contributing to our school’s community and vision. The successful applicant will work under the guidance of the school teaching team with support from Kent Training and Apprenticeships .

This post may involve working 1:1 and with a small group to support a child’s learning.

The successful candidate will:

Supporting groups of children in achieving the lesson objectives in English, Maths and across all areas of the curriculum;

Feeding back to the class teacher, keeping records of progress and behaviour;

Supporting the social, emotional, behavioural and medical needs of the pupil(s);

Preparing resources and some administrative work;

Displaying children's work creatively.

Applicants will ideally hold GCSE Maths and English Level 4 (Grade C) or above.
