Mental Health Co-ordinator 

Fixed Term for 1 Year 

Part time, term time, 25-30 hours per week  

Salary: £27,999 fte (£16,181 to £19,417 pro rata)      

Local Government Pension Scheme – 20% employer contribution  

 

We are seeking to recruit a Mental Health Co-ordinator to join our experienced Wellbeing Team which includes Student Advisors, School Nurse, SENCo, Designated Safeguarding Leads. 

This successful candidate will have experience of working in a mental health services background such as a professional within CAMHS/CYPMHS or NELFT, an approved mental health professional (AMHP), a mental health nurse, or social worker. 

The postholder will play a pivotal role in co-ordinating the monitoring and intervention strategies relating to student mental health needs.  They will contribute to the creation of a positive environment where interventions to support individual mental health issues and emotional wellbeing are timely and appropriate.    

The successful applicant must have excellent interpersonal skills, working directly with students, parents, staff and external agencies to best meet the needs of our students.  

In addition, the successful applicant must be a strong administrator so that written communications and record keeping around student monitoring and support of mental health needs are accurate and support statutory safeguarding arrangements. 

The position is term time only, 25-30 hours per week.
