We are looking for a Family Liaison Officer to join our friendly, happy school. This is a permanent appointment for 37 hours a week in term time + one week in the summer holidays. Pay will be on KR6 FTE £20,585 (pro rata £1513) approx. Part time working (4 days a week) will be considered.

Ideally the candidate will be able to start work before 1st January 2021 to enable a handover period.

Canterbury Road is a family-orientated school and we need someone who upholds this aim and ethos and works with us and the community to foster links, form positive relationships and support our parents and their children.

This is a varied and busy job where you have the opportunity to make a real difference to the life of families. A background in education, social care or community involvement is an advantage.

You will manage and promote adult education and family learning, support families with housing and financial issues, provide a link between school and home, signpost to other agencies and support well being. You will work closely with the SENCO and other staff and will need to undertake child protection training.

Canterbury Road Primary School is a one form entry primary school close to Sittingbourne town centre and within easy reach of the M2, M20 and the train station.

We have interested, curious children who love to learn and enjoy coming to school. Our children make excellent progress from their start points and progress & attainment are above national levels at KS2 as they move into their secondary education. We have highly skilled staff who are committed to the development of the whole child and a have an unwavering focus on all pupils achieving their best.
