Sussex Road Primary School is seeking an enthusiastic and aspirational teacher to join our friendly, dynamic and supportive team.  We are committed to enabling our children to achieve their best and are seeking a teacher who can work with individuals and small groups to enable them to make accelerated progress. The teacher we need will be creative, inspiring and sensitive to the differing needs of our pupils. You will work in collaboration with our class teachers to plan and deliver learning interventions that complement the class teaching. Our pupils are keen to achieve and will be excited to have the opportunity to improve their learning. This is a temporary post, which is subject to funding as part of the government’s Covid Catch up programme. The hours will be part-time, 20 hours per week from 8.15 to 12.15. Time will be allocated for PPA. 

Information about the school

Our popular, heavily over-subscribed school, which has 420 children on roll, is located near to the town centre of Tonbridge, about 5 minutes walk from the main line railway station.

We have 14 classes from Reception through to Year 6.

Our children are friendly and engaging; they are keen to learn and a pleasure to teach.
