Advert

Snodland CEP School is a 'good' school where "pupils achieve well, behave well and care about each other" (Ofsted March 2017).

We would like a Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated and enthusiastic team. The position will involve working with a class, supporting children individually or in small groups.

This position is for 32.5 hours per week (8.30am-3.30pm + 0.5 hours each lunchtime as a Play Assistant).

We are looking for someone with good subject knowledge in reading, writing and maths (preferably with GCSE grade C or above in English and Maths), who has good computing skills and is able to work well as part of a large team, supporting children to make progress in their learning.

We have two levels of TAs in our school - TAs that are class-based and TAs who are class-based but also cover classes in the absence of the Class Teacher. Either of these positions are a possibility.

This is a great opportunity for someone who is looking to go into teaching in the future; we regularly employ Schools Direct Teachers and this is a great starting point.

Snodland CEP School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of the children. This post is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure Application to the Criminal Records Bureau.

Information about the school

"Living life to the full to the glory of God"

Snodland CEP School is a "good" school where children "thrive in the calm and purposeful environment" and "they rise to teachers’ high expectations to flourish personally, socially and academically" (Ofsted October 2022). In April 2018 the school was graded as an Outstanding Church of England School during our SIAMS inspection.
We currently have 410 children on roll, organised into 14 classes. We have a very dedicated and extremely hardworking staff and "there is a relentless drive for constant improvement" (Ofsted October 2022) throughout the school. Our learning environment is engaging and supports learning, both inside and outside of the classroom. Our key Christian values; Faith, Love, Hope, Joy, Unity and Peace are at the heart of all that we do in school.
