The Role

The High Weald Academy is looking for a Receptionist/Administrator to join our busy admin team. We are looking to recruit to either 5 days per week (1 full day and 4 mornings) or 2 part time Receptionists/Administrators (work pattern to be negotiated). This position is term time only, plus 5 days (pro rata’d), to be worked during the school closure periods (including INSET days).

You will be responsible for maintaining the professional appearance and calm running of the reception area, operating the Academy’s main telephone system, greeting visitors and undertaking ID/vetting checks and providing medical support to our students. As well as your reception duties you will also be required to provide general administrative support to the Academy including: responding to email enquiries; issuing communications to parents; photocopying resources for lessons and general academy activities; undertaking vetting checks of contractors and visitors; supporting school meetings and events, and responding to ad hoc requests from students and staff. Previous experience of working in a school office environment is desirable but not essential – the ability to work in a very busy environment is essential.
