We are looking to appoint a teaching assistant to work in our alternative provision for young people aged 11 to 16.

The successful candidate will be passionate about student mental health and wellbeing and have a calming approach to behaviour management. They will be self-motivated, confident and able to work using their own initiative.  

Candidates should have good literacy and numeracy skills and, as part of the interview, may be asked to demonstrate their skills in supporting students.

This was reflected in our March 2023 Ofsted inspection report that states how, “Staff have high aspirations for what all pupils can learn and achieve. This level of ambition is evident throughout the school”. They also commented on how, “Pupils are proud of how tolerant and supportive their school is” and that, “The vast majority of pupils behave well in school”. The school was graded as “Good” for the third successive inspection.
