Casual House Manager - Relief

 

Earlscliffe is an international boarding sixth form school delivering A-level courses in Folkestone, Kent, only 50 mins from central London by train.

House Manager

As a Relief House Manager you will cover for one of our Resident House Managers in one of our 6 boarding houses as required and you will be responsible for the welfare of the students. You will need to be highly attentive and well-organised in your approach to all welfare and pastoral issues as well as enthusiastic, sympathetic and flexible.

Desirable qualities: highly motivated, energetic, organised, caring with a genuine interest in our students’ lives and a spirit of internationalism. We are proud of our commitment to the ongoing professional development of our boarding staff to meet and exceed role requirements and offer, indeed require, regular training.

Working hours are after 4.30pm until 9am Monday-Friday and some weekend cover is also required. 

You will be available to students during these times although a room is provided for you to sleep from 11pm until 7am.  You will remain on call throughout this time.

The job description included with this advertisement is the job description for our resident House Managers but the majority of it also applies to Cover House Managers.

We are looking for both a female and a male Cover House Manager as our Boarding Houses are single sex accommodation.  Usually the cover will be required for one or two nights per week and/or a weekend, working in accordance with our other Casual House Managers.
