We are currently looking to appoint for the position of English Teacher for a 1 year fixed term contract starting in January 2021.

As well as being a suitably qualified teacher with excellent subject knowledge and pedagogy, the ideal candidate will be emotionally intelligent, highly motivated and will be willing to take measured risks to deliver an exciting and engaging curriculum that develops students’ thinking skills, progress and aspirations.

As an English teacher at the school you will have the opportunity to develop and deliver a creative and dynamic English curriculum that will enrich your own practice through high expectations of student engagement with challenging texts and language skills. The successful candidate will be part of a collaborative team of teachers with culture of sharing best practice.

Wrotham School is a highly successful school that boasts outstanding behaviour and supportive parents. Visitors to our school always comment on the calm and purposeful atmosphere they observe in our classrooms and communal areas.  Our outstanding results are testament to the strength of our staff team and the hard work of our students.

We are a comprehensive school and students make outstanding progress, our recent Ofsted report (May 2019) recognises the work we do as outstanding and makes reference to our supportive atmosphere and positive working environment. Our students achieve some of the highest progress and attainment scores in Kent and we are proud of our deeply embedded culture of high expectations.

As we continue to raise the aspirations of our students we are confident that our school will continue to make progress to and beyond our target of being the most successful, non- selective, non-fee paying school in Kent.

We offer our staff competitive pay, with the opportunity to receive additional pay progression for outstanding performance, in a school that has found success outside of the large academy chains.
