Special Needs - Post 16 Leader of Learning

We are looking to appoint an exceptional Post 16 Leader of Learning. Key tasks of the role will include:

Strategic development of the Sixth Form within Nexus School
To deliver high quality Teaching, Learning and Assessment to ensure best outcomes for all students
To ensure students have access to appropriate pathways for the next stage of their education and adult life
To secure students Personal Development, Behaviour and Wellbeing
To provide clear and decisive management and direction through effective line management of teams
Parental and Community Partnerships to extend employment opportunities
To ensure EHCP outcomes are an integral part of the delivery across the curriculum to Sixth Form
To develop transition planning processes
To extend the range of opportunities for work based learning and work experience

We currently have just over 200 pupils on roll from 2-19 years with profound, severe and complex needs.

We are ideally looking for people with experience of working with Primary / Secondary pupils with additional needs.

It is essential that you are passionate, creative, dynamic, resilient, talented, committed, able to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and possess the flair and enthusiasm to motivate and inspire our pupils.
