Special Needs - Post 16 Leader of Learning 

We are looking to appoint an exceptional Post 16 Leader of Learning.  Key tasks of the role will include:

  • Strategic development of the Sixth Form within Nexus School
  • To deliver high quality Teaching, Learning and Assessment to ensure best outcomes for all students
  • To ensure students have access to appropriate pathways for the next stage of their education and adult life
  • To secure students Personal Development, Behaviour and Wellbeing
  • To provide clear and decisive management and direction through effective line management of teams
  • Parental and Community Partnerships to extend employment opportunities
  • To ensure EHCP outcomes are an integral part of the delivery across the curriculum to Sixth Form
  • To develop transition planning processes
  • To extend the range of opportunities for work based learning and work experience

We currently have just over 200 pupils on roll from 2-19 years with profound, severe and complex needs. 

We are ideally looking for people with experience of working with Primary / Secondary pupils with additional needs. 

It is essential that you are passionate, creative, dynamic, resilient, talented, committed, able to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and possess the flair and enthusiasm to motivate and inspire our pupils.
