We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic teacher of PE to join a talented and innovative department.

About the department:

The Physical Education department has access to outstanding facilities across both sites, including multi-purpose sports halls, a third-generation astroturf and an exercise suite. This provides the basis for the department to deliver a rich and fulfilling curriculum across all key stages. At Key stage 3 the students enjoy a variety of sporting and physical experiences before following an academic pathway in Key Stage 4. Results in GCSE PE have continued to rise exponentially over the last 5 years, most recently with 86% A*-C and BTEC Sport results included over 50% of the cohort achieving a Merit grade or above. At Key stage 5 the department offer several pathways including BTEC level 3 Sport, which can also be completed alongside a football scholarship program in collaboration with Sheppey Utd FC. This offer will be bolstered in the next academic year by a level 2 Technical award in sport.

Extra-curricular sport is integral to the academy and the department strive to encourage and support students with living a healthy and active lifestyle.
