Specialist Teaching Assistant
SAT Support staff scale Band 3 + SEN Allowance £1,309
£13,480 per annum (£17,842 FTE)
32.5 hours for 39 weeks (term time plus staff development days)
Start Date: Oct 2020 or as soon as possible
We are seeking to appoint a dynamic Teaching Assistant to support pupils who have a range of learning needs. Applicants should have the necessary skills to support in mainstream classes, in small groups or on individual basis.
Candidates would be expected to have good literacy and numeracy skills and, as part of the interview, may be asked to demonstrate their skills in supporting pupils. Above all, we are seeking to appoint a hardworking, committed, flexible and reliable individual who is able to work on their own initiative when required.
Specialist Teaching Assistant to work with deaf students. Some knowledge of sign language or experience working with deaf children would be an advantage but is not essential as full training will be provided. Successful applicants must be willing to study British Sign Language Courses up to level 2.
