Sheerness West Federation – Rose Street School

SENCO 0.6 fte

The school

Rose Street Primary school is one half of the Sheerness West Federation, which has West Minster Primary as its partner, both are rated "Good" by Ofsted. We aim to make the Federation an outstanding provider of primary education in environments that are safe and nurturing and where the pupils enjoy their learning and achieve well. Both schools are expanding, with Rose Street on the journey from a one form entry to a two form entry school due to the demand for places.

Role Profile

We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated and resilient individual who has a clear commitment to inclusion and a passion for ensuring that all pupils achieve their best. This is a non-classroom based role to allow the successful candidate the opportunity to carry out this wide-ranging role effectively. Both SENCOs and the Teacher-in-Charge of our specialist speech and language provision, are led and managed by the Federation Deputy Head (Inclusion), and are part of a hard-working and highly successful Inclusion team that comprises SEN and well-being staff. The team supports class-based colleagues with and through a wide variety of interventions.

Applications are welcome from experienced SENCOs with the National Accreditation.  You would be a member of the Federation middle leadership team.
