The Governing Body, children, parents and staff of our thriving school are looking for a creative, enthusiastic and caring teaching assistant to join our school in September.

In the challenging times we have found ourselves in addressing the current Covid 19 Pandemic, we are looking for an individual who can sell to us their expertise, passion and favoured supporting role, whether this is to support a certain year group within the Primary aged School, or individuals/small groups requiring specialist support.

Above all, we seek a passionate individual who can demonstrate the love, care and support they feel they can offer our School Community as we begin to get back on our feet and return to the new normal.

This is a temporary position in the first instance and hours are 27.5/week. This includes the supervision of children over the lunchtime period. You will work with children/teachers within a designated Class Bubble and not move from this environment.

We can offer:

  • Fantastic pupils
  • A friendly, nurturing school family committed to our Christian Values as a Church of England School
  • Support of a teaching team committed to excellence with high expectations.
  • A committed and supportive leadership team
  • Friendly and dedicated staff
  • A supportive governing body.
  • A well resourced school with an exciting curriculum

We are looking for someone who:

  • Aims for excellence at all times.
  • Has a passion to make a difference
  • Is a good communicator with a real ability to nurture, inspire and motivate
  • Is a kind, caring individual, passionate about their position as a vocation
  • Views teaching as a holistic process, keen and prepared to work with teachers, children and their families
  • Keen to work in a Church of England Primary School and able to uphold the Christian Vision, Values and ethos
  • Is a complete team player
  • Has a sense of humour.

In ordinary circumstances, we welcome the opportunity for you to come and visit us so that we can share our school and it's environment and community with you. However, please do refer to our website: www.hartlip.kent.sch.uk and follow us on Twitter @Hartlipschool for a flavour of us and how we operate, even in such extra ordinary times. We can offer shortlisted candidates the opportunity to visit school on the afternoon of Tuesday 1st September, prior to interviews on Wednesday 2nd September.

We are looking for candidates with experience within their preferred role and ideally able to start with us at the beginning of the school year on Monday 7th September.

If you require any further information, emails are monitored over the summer holiday.

We look forward to hearing from you.
