Due to a successful Ofsted and expansion in provision, we are looking for a Junior (Band 5 equivalent) Occupational Therapist to join our team, working full time – term time plus inset days. Monday to Friday 8:00 – 4:00 pm. You will be supporting pupils with autism in all areas of the curriculum under the guidance of the Lead Occupational Therapist.

The successful candidate will gain experience working as a school based Paediatric Occupational Therapist with children and young people who have ASD, DCD and ADHD. As an Occupational Therapist you will be using standardised assessments, clinical observations with a focus on school occupational performance and enabling independence including treatment of children and young people for sensory and motor differences. All pupils have an Education and Health Care Plan (EHCP), which the Occupational Therapy assessments contributes to. 

Applicants should have had some Paediatric OT experience - be that volunteering, OT Placement or work related with children/young people. We are looking for a committed, enthusiastic, self-motivated, and resilient person who enjoys working with young people within a school setting.

Ripplevale School is an independent day special school for boys aged from 6 to 18 who have an EHCP (Education Health Care Plan) for being on the Autistic spectrum often with associated conditions.

Our school is located in the village of Ripple near Deal in Kent.
