Our school is a two form entry community school, with approximately 400 pupils. Situated conveniently, between Maidstone and Cranbrook, in a beautiful rural part of Kent, the school, with its ‘outward-facing, best practice at heart’ culture, has achieved sustained academic improvement and continues to retain an excellent, enthusiastic team of staff.

The Governing Body, staff and parents are an ambitious and dedicated team, working together to promote the school, and where our aim is to ensure each child reaches their full potential.

At Staplehurst School children definitely come first!

At Staplehurst, we consider our curriculum to be knowledge-rich. We view the curriculum as the mastery of a body of subject-specific knowledge, the definition of which has been carefully considered and sequenced to offer children the best opportunities as successful 21st century citizens. We champion the importance of invaluable knowledge that children deserve – this informs how we grow our pupils, and how we ensure that when they leave, they have had a rich, culturally diverse experience and are ready to progress to secondary school as well-rounded, considerate individuals.

Our school is committed to equality as well as safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff to share this commitment.
