West Borough Primary School is very excited to be starting our own After School Club provision from September 2020, following the successful running of our Breakfast Club provsion for the past 12 years.

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed Deputy Manager to support our Senior Leadership Team in setting up and running our extended schools provision, Acorns Club.

Our after school provision will run from 3.10pm-6pm daily, term-time only, in our school hall.

The successful candiate will have experience of working in an extended schools provision and be influencial in the shaping of this new Club for our school. The children are at the heart of everything we do at West Borough Primary School and believe this to be the case from the minute they step through the door in the morning, until they leave our care.

You will be responsible for but not limited to the following:

  • ensuring the safeguarding and wellbeing of all children is met at all times
  • supporting the Manager in leading a team of staff/playworkers
  • providing stimulating and well planned, play-based experiences
  • building strong relationships with parents ensuring they feel valued and supported

Hours: 20 hours per week, term-time only, 39 weeks per year plus holiday entitlement  (2.30pm to 6.30pm)

Essential Qualifications: Minimum Level 3 full and relevant qualification

Desirable Qualifications: Paediatric First Aid, Food Hygiene

We are very proud of our wonderful school which was judged as good with outstanding features. Our most recent Ofsted inspection was in October 2022.

We have 16 classes including our maintained Nursery. A set of Core Values underpin all that we do which ensure high expectations of both learning and behaviour.
