We are looking to appoint a full-time Caretaker with effect from 1st September 2020. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the cleaning, maintenance and caretaking activities at the school.

The post holder will be required to work shifts and to work evenings and weekends on an occasional basis. Overtime hours will be paid at the appropriate rate.

The successful applicant will be expected to have experience in building maintenance and/or cleaning and skills in a number of caretaking disciplines. They will also need to be flexible and self-motivated, have good communication skills and a good understanding of the health and safety requirements of a large site. Previous experience of working in a school would be advantageous but is not essential.

Simon Langton Girls’ Grammar School is a highly respected selective Voluntary Controlled Girls’ Grammar School that places students’ academic success on a par with their wellbeing, creating a unique learning community where every individual matters. Students attending the school are aged between 11-18 years and the school has a student roll of about 1,300 students (with approx. 400 pupils in our mixed Sixth Form).
