TEACHING ASSISTANT (Nurture)

Temporary contract, subject to funding.

33.75 hours per week / 39 weeks per year

Kent Range KR3, (£18,039) pro rata

Do you have experience of supporting teaching and learning on a one to one basis for high needs pupils and experience of supporting disengaged children?  Do you have a passion for learning and improving the outcomes for all children?

We are looking for individuals with a good basic education ideally qualified to NVQII or equivalent.  You should have previous experience of working with young children and have the skills to engage individual and groups of children in effective creative learning. 

You must have Nurture Room experience can demonstrate the ability to plan activities for pupils that are unable to manage in class alongside the class teacher.   You must also be able to demonstrate a good understanding of pedagogy and behaviour management.

You will need to work using your own initiative and adapt to the challenging needs of the school.  Qualification in First Aid is desirable or a willingness to train is essential.
