Offham Primary School are currently seeking a part time grounds maintenance and handy-person and to join our happy school family.

Are you a hands on and proactive person who would enjoy helping us keep our school looking great? Our ideal candidate would be someone who would enjoy undertaking practical jobs around the school premises such as painting, sweeping and weeding, ensuring our grounds are litter free, some gardening work and minor repairs, moving furniture, DIY jobs etc. Our children want someone kind and happy who will talk to them around the school, let them ask questions and help with some jobs but most importantly keep them safe by maintaining a high standard within the premises.

This role is a part time position for 20 hours per week (Monday to Friday) during school term time. These hours can be carried out flexibly each week in negotiation with Mrs Mason, our Premises manager. Pay is at Kent Range 3 (£8,400 per annum) which will be split pro rota giving a monthly salary of £680 (gross) per month.

We are ideally looking for someone who is proactive about getting the small jobs, which make a huge difference to the appearance of our school, done. Our staff want our school to look spic and span, reflecting the high standards we are committed to in our teaching. A love of animals is a must, we have school chickens and rabbits and fish and part of the role includes making sure they are fed, clean and secure during the week.

Our school is in a remote area so our new candidate will need to be able to drive.
