The ability to multitask, work flexibly and have a can do approach to work is essential. This post is for 5 days per week (27.5 hours), term time only. The pro rata salary will be £11,531.

This is a key role within the school and, as our front of house person, the ideal candidate will have:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to develop good relationships with students, parents, staff and visitors
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to use own initiative
  • A confident and professional manner
  • A good eye for detail
  • An excellent knowledge of IT systems such as Word (including Mail Merge), Excel and Publisher
  • The ability to multi-task and work flexibly and calmly while under pressure

Experience of primary school admissions processes and procedures, including new Reception class intake and SIMS would be advantageous, although training will be given for the right candidate.

Whilst a visit to the school at this current time is tricky to arrange, we actively encourage you to call to have a chat with the headteacher, Sarah Alexander, before you apply if you would like to. We can arrange school tours after 4pm when the children and most of the staff are off site if you wish. You can contact us on 01227 751322 or email the headteacher directly, headteacher@hernhill.kent.sch.uk.
