Trust Accounts Manager Advert

This post provides an exceptional opportunity for the Accounts Manager to play a vital role in the Trust’s new business support team. The business support team is led by Potential in Everyone Academy Trust via a service level agreement. The successful candidate will either already hold a relevant Business Management qualification and/or have substantial operational financial experience in schools finance.

You will be committed to helping pupils to reach their full potential and believe effective financial management enables strategic leaders to deliver the best possible education to children.

You will have demonstrable experience in financial control, having had significant responsibility for month end financial processes, budget monitoring and management reports.  Your experience may include working in an academy trust, or collaboration, or using your knowledge and experience to provide advice and guidance to other schools. You will also have proven experience of completing and submitting accurate returns to external agencies. You will have a flexible and proactive approach, having used financial systems such as PS Financials or SIMS Finance and budget planning tools such as BPS (Orovia).

Experience of communicating financial information in a manner non-financial people understand is essential.

You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and experience of planning, prioritising and managing workloads in an environment of conflicting demands. You will have the ability to negotiate, build and maintain effective working relationships with a variety of stakeholders. For this busy and dynamic post, you will be highly organised and possess excellent IT and administrative skills, able to produce a range of complex documents and reports using Microsoft Office.

This is a full-time position (37 hours per week all year round). Annual leave can only be taken during school holidays.

The salary for this post will be paid on Kent Range 8 FTE £25238-£28781 (pro rata)
